Salvaged this carb from the throw away pile at work a while back. Looked old to me. The manufacturer must not have been too proud of it, because there is no name or markings anywhere on it that I can find, save the casting clock on the lower left of the first picture. Couldn't find anything on the net. (I'm notoriously bad at it.) I'm betting someone on here knows year/make & model. Thanks in advance. front left back right
Autolite 4300. Mid '60s-70s... Designed as an 'emission' 4V to replace the 4100. Ford had a lot of trouble with these, they didn't stick around very long. Had one on a '67 Cougar, the dealer couldn't tune a big flat spot out of it. Ended up replacing it with a Holley.
Funny, I have one on the bench. Pain in the ass compared to a 2100/2150/4100 Mike (That red paint is gonna' suck !)
Thanks Steve. Doesn't take long on the HAMB. Mike, or anybody else, you can have the thing for parts. I'm in Silver Spring, MD.
We were modernizing the Fuels/Engine Performance classroom. It looked older than it turned out to be and it was a 4bbl. In the same load I got a pair of center hung Holley float bowls, a side hung float bowl and metering block along with a 2GC for parts. Besides, if I don't collect enough stuff how will my son stay busy after I die.
