    Have early Rockchester 2 barrel
Where gas supply attaches to carb
    Threads are galled
What would be good way to attach without replacing carb

    Depending on the carburetor:

    (1) If numbers-matching car, and carburetor is ultra-rare, not replaceable, and cost is no object - have a machine shop insert heli-coil (if possible, not possible on all carbs) OR drill oversize and retap for a oversize thread and fabricate a new fuel fitting with the oversize thread. Either of these fixes requires removal of the airhorn****embly.

    (2) If NOT (1) - replace carb.

    (3) There are a number of other "fixes" ie self-tapping fittings, fittings with a neopreme insert, JB Weld, etc. ALL of which should only be used after the installation of an automatic underhood fire extinguisher, preferably halide.
