Has anyone used Holley carbs on the C26 Edelbrock manifold? Is there any adapters with offset that will work?
In short, no you can't put Holleys on a C26, Holleys won't fit on an Offenhauser either and the carb spacing is further apart on those. Offenhauser Edelbrock C26
It's really tight in between the carbs on the C26. I found myself putting the 90 degree fittings on first and then installing the carbs on the intake to avoid having to work in between them. Its hard to even get to the mixture screws
If you Really want Holleys , Side saddle One facing the throttle Opening from Passenger to Driver side Then the other backwards , Throttle Opening from Driver side to Passenger , Connecting Linkage with trick bells .. Had a Gene Follton sbc ,On Dyno , Playing with carburetor , mounting in 4 different ways , engine made 32 hp more with carb mounted Side saddle & carb pulling From Driver side to passenger Open , On tight carbs I have used made my own tight radius Tools, 1/8 tube with Rope cable & knob to adjust mixture screws,
Offenhauser used to make the offset adapters, but that makes it look like a cross ram, and bestow's a linkage nightmare upon you. Plus, I'm not sure they're still avaliable. If you want to use 2 Holley's, you're gonna need a tunnel ram. If you want to use the C-26, you're gonna need 2 AFB's.
