    Hi All,
The Schithead Bros Coupe is ready to run again. All the carbs had dirt in them when I only ran one filter, a stainless screen inline type filter, with 85-micron capacity. All six have been rebuilt. My question is with six Rochester carbs, should I run a bronze filter in each one, or one inline unit with 35-micron capacity? This is on a 409 Chevy. Let the debate begin. upload_2024-9-7_19-31-32.jpeg

  2. I run screen in the bottom of my stacks. What's on yours looks good, I'd leave those. Put screen in the bottom.

Thanks for the reply. The black things in the picture are plugs I made out of roll bar padding, used when it's parked. At the drags there are screens in the bottom of the "Sharks". One time the guy in front of me was doing his burnout, and a big piece of rubber went in a scoop! It might have stuck my throttle! Mostly it's driven on the street now.

  4. I put tennis balls in mine when it's parked. Sucked them into the stacks a few time when I forget they are there and tried to start it.
