I thinking of running 3/2 barrel carbs on a 10/1 comp stock valve 420 lift cam set up . will 3 hollley 94’s be too much ? Anyone got a jet and power valve size for a good starting point

1st thing...will 94s fit on your intake? Many will take 97s only.

A trio of 94's or 97's aint gonna get over 400 CFM all kicked in. Should be a fine fit for the little Hemi

My quick calculation (subject to error) comes up to 348 CFM at 5,000 RPM. At that rate a 350 Holley 2-barrel would do for street driving, but granted 3-2's would look cooler.

I have seen threads on guy's running 3 "big 97's" and having a tough time tuning them down on smaller displacement applications. I wonder if anyone has used a big 97 in the center as the primary and run the outer two regular 97's on a progressive linkage? Provided the intake will accommodate it. Maybe an email to Clive is on order?

You going to run solid lifters? It is had to get lift in these engines. The hydraulic lifter has to be in a specific place to pump up.
I ran two 97’s and they were fine. I changed to a 54 Buick wcfb and it is still on the engine.
The three twos should be fine as well.

I think 94's would fit on that manifold. (They sure didn't on a Weiand "4-in-a-row" I had on a big Chrysler). If I could afford it and could find them, I'd opt for 3 Stromberg 81's. IIRC. Pontiac used to run their "Tri-Powers" with a small base 2g in the middle and large base units on the end. How does an 81 in the middle and regular 97's on the ends sound? I have heard "big" 97's flow 250 cfm; three of those would almost certainly be too big.
