I've been shopping around trying to find replacement carpet for my 1950 Buick. Most of the threads I've found on here mention companies that have carpeting but when checking their websites they don't go back as far as 1950. Can anyone suggest a good carpet company that sells replacements for a 1950 Buick Special? I've seen Kanter mentioned a few times. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with them? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Scott
Take it to your local upholstery shop and have them make carpet for it,most cars of that era had cut and sewn carpet like a shop will do. There was no moulded carpet untill the late 50s or early 60s so it has to be custom made,I could not find a carpet set for a 59 Olds and had to make it.
Kanter did the first carpet set for my '57. Pretty nice for the price, took acouple of weeks to get as they are made to order. You have to be very specific when you place the order as to pedal location and auto or stick. Good Luck!
try ezboy interiors at www.rodinteriors.com. i got carpet for my 50 from them, it fit well and they have a selection of series.
Try ACC ( automotive custom carpets) 1-800-352-8216, I have had great luck with them and they have decent prices, you can google them for colors and info,,,
