Carrol Shelby dies in Dallas at the age of 89. What a legend he was. He wasn't a hot rodder per sey but he knew how to make hot cars. R. I.P.

  2. He was truely a pioneer in the automotive industry, Doc. Traditional hot rodder? No, but a legend none the less! Rest in peace...

If dropping a bigger engine into a smaller and lighter body isn't hot rodding, what is?

Carrol was a true Hotrodder and a legend in motor sports. He will be missed. I thought it was cool that in the old days he used to race in the same striped overalls that he wore on his chicken farm. He was an inovator in many areas. Beating Europes best on their own turf then building the finest race cars of the day. I'm not a Ford man but he won my respect in many ways.

RIP. Lived a long full life, 2 heart transplants. Anybody that lives to 89 and accomplished what he did will be remembered.
