I am so geeked up for "Cars", I decided to do a Hamb version, ala Rolf's coupe.

    Oops. What Slide said.

  9. Yea... and the HAMBer involved has an eye for what is cool... with both a Rod and a Custom in his garage!
I think he wants to remain annonymous though...

...c'mon Slide, give...who is it and what did they do?...inquirin' minds...

  11. If you watch the movie Monster's Inc... when the Monsters are competing to see how many kids they can scare, and the "Scoreboard" has the different names flashing across it and changing position... HIS name is on there.

There, that's it... I've probably said too much already!

    Sam.

  12. do a little research and you will find it on here, he told us last year, I think on an Incredibles thread. Not so annonymous with some research.

  13. cool, Can my A-truck star in the flick too? :)

    "Norman" the "Nun-Truck"

Cool Hot Rod "CARS" versions MrExcite!

I am the HAMBr who works at Pixar. I keep my job fairly low profile, because people usually want one of two things when they find out: a job or a tour! =-)

Anyway, I worked in the Art dept. and as the Character Team Manger on Cars- I even got a little voice track in there!

I tried darn hard to get a Hot Rod in the movie, but it didn't stick--
They did shoot the director (John Lasseter) sitting in my A roadster for a Wired Magazine article on Pixar, so thats close enough for me!

    jay

PS- Do you mind if I show your car images to a few of the artists from Cars? They would get a kick out of your work!

  30. very cool Jive....I wondered if there was on member here who actually worked on that project.

I think your co=workers would get a kick out of the picts...maybe a regret too
