an old 53 Ford convertible, saved from the crusher. Cool thing about this car is that I owned it in the 70's, and sold it in '77. Found it with the help of this site, 31 years later. A lot of work has been done since this pic was snapped, and I will post later on the rebuild progress. Happy new year everyone!!

Found in a barn in Wis purchased a motor from a member here on the HAMB out of Muscatine Iowa, picked up other items on the HAMB and drove it for the first time Jan 1st 2009. Will try to make the Polar Bear Run Feb 1st if we can get some kind of heat in it. Original cost 900 on the road total cost about 2000, fun and comroderie with HAMB members that helped along the way ....Priceless.

Now that is a cool story. The first-ever custom car I ever saw in real life as a 10 year old kid, was a custom 52-54 conv sitting at a stop light....maybe around 1961 or so.

I pulled this cab and box out of a dump. I also rescued this 28 Dodge Coupe. The 34 I have made some progress on late last year (built a frame, chopped the top) but the Coupe I just got the end of December. I have a top for it but I need to get started on it.

I accumulated all this since spring 08. When I'm done I should have 2 complete F1's and a 54 Bel Air.

1930 Coupe (w/ 31 firewall at the time). Needs little. Most of the problem areas are areas where it's going to be customized. 32 inner fenders, body molded around 32 tank, etc.

I did a post on this before trying to be sneaky to see if anyone would ask about the motor but nobody picked up on it. This time I'll include a good motor shot after I got it home and cleaned off. This 40 PU had sat in this spot for 30 years, I got the title with it too!

1960 Squarebird... low mileage but was obviously stored poorly.

  25. All I got in 2008 was a front half of a '24 Willys touring. I want to build a little modified out of it. Now the seach for parts has started.

Somehow I ended up dragging this '55 Desoto into my yard Thanksgiving weekend. Not much progress as of yet- just trying to get the brakes functional again and collecting parts to convert it to 12 volt negative ground. Plan is to have it back on the road by May so I can drive it to a friend's wedding.
