Try seatbelt buckles. The old push button type. The main part of the buckle comes off with the top.

Try in a large boat supply shop. They have lots of cool old looking latches in chromed brass or stainless steel.

What kinda car? If it was ever manufactured in ragtop version try to use the stock style front latches. On the rear-how about latch hardware for old T-Bird or 'Vette removable hardtop? Those should be available as repops.

I used "T" nuts on the header panel and the rear deck.. when I want to put the top on I thread a short section of 1/4 inch all thread into the hole.. the Top has a corresponding hole which drops over the all thread and a nut is attached and tightened on top of the all thread..

so when the tops off nothing but 4 1/4 inch holes are visable..

what are you putting this top On?
