Anyone know how to fill the float bowl on a carter afb 2853s? I don't see any visible vents and can't really find anything online that helps. Motor has not been run in quite a few years and I want to see if it would be worth my time. Had it started on starter fluid about 5 years ago and haven't looked at it since
Those two flat plate on either side sorta by the middle - being REALLY careful - like put a rag in the ****er fly - I take out the screw with my finger on the pate because of the spring and not really taking it out get my little funnel and pour in both sides until you see the run off do to the bowls being full. The tuff deal is getting the plungers' spring down - wiggle it a bit - and as you hold it down slip the flat cover over it and get the screw in it. Basically I do this all the time to those Carter's I have sitting around that don't have the vent opening by the throttle side. Good luck - someone might have a better way....
