I know a lot of people here follow videos from Kyle at Carter Auto Restyling, but if you don't you should check him out. He's currently turning a very rusty 1953 Chevy pickup into a custom, sort of his version of the Rod and Custom dream truck. In the latest video he started chopping the top, and used some clever slicing and dicing to minimize the amount of work required. He shows what can be done in a home garage with a minimum of tools, but plenty of talent. https://www.youtube.com/@CarterAutoRestyling
I've been watching his channel for a while. He does a good job of turning junk back into good trucks. Devin
Been watching him for a couple of years now. I like how he hasn’t succumbed to the trend towards becoming an infomercial channel like many other channels. Still works out of his home garage, with a minimum of tools. Occasionally mentions the HAMB, too. I generally loose interest when these guyyget successful and start hawking products for sponsors and build huge shops. (Junkyard Digs, Puddin’s Fab Shop, VGG, Diesel Creek, etc). Keep up the great work, Kyle.
He has very Canadian humor. Kyle is extremely talented at metal work, and much more versed in how to cut up an old car than he lets on. I am also watching his current build with interest. I tend to agree, but it depends on the personality. Puddin remains genuine in my opinion, so he still gets our views.
Yeah Kyle underrates himself for the channel. But he has some serious talent! He’s on my list of regular watches: Carter Auto Restyling, Cold War Motors, Fitzees Fab, Strong’s Garage, Coldstream Hot Rods, Make it Custom, Rusty Beauties; all good Canadian channels without the the “hawking”...
Funny, I’m watching it now and have been since he dragged that mess out of the junkyard. I’m really looking forward to seeing how he goes about closing the seams around the driprail.
