Howdy! Been lurking for a while, reading, learning, etc.....

I'm finally getting parts together to start on my '55 Savoy. I picked up a vintage edmunds 2x1 intake and a second carb as what's currently on my 230 flathead. It's the carter BBS style carb. My issue is clearance because I don't know that they'll both fit on the edmunds intake.

What are my options? I've included a pic of the second carb for reference.

    Thanks,

If you have a dual intake, both carbs should fit on it. Maybe you mean "will my hood close" or "is there room for air cleaners" ? I'd stuff a thin cardboard box with wadded up paper the same height as a carb/air cleaner, & stick it on the stock manifold, then close the hood ...

Nah the carbs are two wide side to side to fit next to each other on the intake. I'll get a pic of the one mounted on the intake. The choke portion of one carb would have to be removed for them to fit. Plenty of room under the hood.

Swede, you need a couple Stromberg BXUVs or similar, from an earlier Dodge or Plymouth. You won't need chokes with dual carbs, just a couple pumps & it'll fire.
