Hey guys I’ve got a ‘63 impala 327 with this Carter WCB 1672 4 barrel carb. I’m having a hard time finding the correct mounting gasket. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

Sorry. I assumed it’d be the big one on a 327

Is that normal that the '63 carb has a cast iron base?

The WCFB used by Chevrolet in 1963 does have a cast iron base.

    The correct gasket:

    Carter 1A-130
    GM 3743282

The pictured gasket appears to be a modified 1A-119 (AFB) but the hole on the right side is too low; maybe the hole was cut out trying to make the gasket fit something other than the original application.

If you are unable to find either of the numbers in my last post; one of these does come in the rebuilding kit we make for the carburetor. We do not sell the gasket individually.

Hey guys so yeah my car is a ‘63 impala w/327. I don’t know if the carb or intake is stock but it does work. Maybe one of you guys know more than I do. I ended up buying a felpro gasket maker kit for $11. It has a bunch of different types of materials to make your owner gasket. I made a template with masking tape and cut it out with a exacto knife.
