Carter WDO? Broke my carb doh

Anyone know the CFM of these carbs.
A carter WDO 419S
Mines from a 39 Buick 248ci. straight 8.

Would a Stromberg 97 Work in its place. I could make an adapter plate.
Its Just a single carb. on a stock engine for now.

Do a lot of parts inter change on the WDO carbs?

A Rochester 2bbl off a 265 or 283 should work better than a 97.

What is wrong with your Carter? do you want to replace it with another carter?

 

I would, but have not found one yet.

My fuel bowl where the idle jets go is stripped out on one side.
Plus its just real rough to begin with, every screw on the thing looks beat up
bad. Someone did not like this carb. haha..

I'm open to ideas.
