Well on Oct 20,2012 will be 32nd annual Maple Leaf car show. We have 26 cl***es with 1 for traditional rods that we started last year. Show will be from 8am-til 5pm with trophies about 4pm. We will be sponsored by Oreillys again this year. A new event will be a Cruise nite on Friday Oct 19 at 6pm til 9pm. Live music,hots dogs and pre registration will be going on. Cruise will be at the host hotel Precious Moments Best Western On HH hwy next to Lowes on west side of Carthage. More info on website. Hope to see a lot of you there.
Well the maple Leaf car show is over for another year. thanks for everyones support. Cruise nite was a success with approx 100 cars. We served up 350 hot dogs,pop,chips and had a great dj.hotel wants us back next year and will do more to help out. Car show was great with 421 cars in attendence. This was our second year to have Oreillys as our sponsor. To let you know the money just doenst end up in someones pocket. we will keep enough in treasury to cover costs in case of bad weather. The rest of the money is going to be used as scholarships for teens in auto tech at local highschool that want to go on to Junior college or a vo tech program. need to keep this sport alive.
'twas a great time once again. Rolled over there with a group from Springfield representing everything from my OT truck to a 32 vicky. Dad took 1st place in the convertible cl*** with his '62 Nova which got crazy attention and made him grin all day. Well organized, perfect venue, good folks and great cars! Thanks, we'll be back!
