So based on that ^^ Cascade and similar will not do anything to remove his rust issues.

No, not really. That's not what it's supposed to be used for. It's for breaking down and removing oil and fuel in the cooling system. There are rust and scale removers that are better at doing that.

    Here's one from ***mins: https://www.***minsfiltration.com/south-pacific/cooling-system-cleaners

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek, based on how this thread has gone

  6. HRD, this isn't necessarily irrelevant. It could be the same scenario of a ****** cooler burst, or a DD problem. Many of us work in the business of needing knowledge like this, to use our extra money to wrench on hotrods. Hmmm, apply wrenches.
This is how I've been able to provide for myself, and build a hotrod. I believe that part of the reasons the old guys got us here is for the same reason of how the subject went, and maybe how they made a living. I built hundreds of driveshafts for many big truck applications, sold $1,000,000 of parts a year for my employer, with so much pride and desire to be the best.
    We help each other.
HRD, would love to be able to even see a couple of the cars in person for 7-15-2017. Been stuff I've been looking at pictures of and dreaming of most of my life. No BS. HAVE A GREAT TIME! Take pics!

Generally soap for dishwashers have a caustic ingredient. Most are not safe for use on aluminum kitchen stuff. Causes surface pitting, and may cause errosion of metal.

  8. There's no freaking way way to dissolve and flush out all the **** in an engine block.

if you strip the block and yank the freeze plugs and poke thru the all the holes you'll get chunks loose that are so big they won't fit thru the freeze plug holes. With constant water flush it will run out of every hole a high solids deep orange for well over an hour if you keep poking.

Running a back flush in a closed system with decent pressure will move some of the loosest stuff out. The stuff is solids that packs itself like a brick.
