Technical Cast iron to aluminum Powerglide swap questions

    But only in 6 cyl Nova and 327 V8 equipped vehicles. (Maybe 409 too). For 1963 models, the aluminum PG was used on all models.

    Managed to get the casting number off the block and heads this past weekend. Haven't got to the date yet but the 283 block and heads are in the right age range to be original to the car. If so I may end up rebuilding both and keep the car original. Tough decision... have some time to think it over while I get the 65 wagon back on the road.
