1952-59 Ford cast iron ?

    Hello

    I wondered if the rear axle on my ford 1954 was in cast iron or iron?

    I have to weld on the system "Weld-On 4-Link" on this last one and if it's in cast iron, I can't.

    Most likely the center section (where the ring and pinion and differential are) is cast iron, and the axle tubes (where you would attach spring perches or 4-link/ ladder bar brackets) are steel...
