We don't get out much, so if anyone has current info or better yet, pics of Anthony Castaneda's Bubble-Top from a few years ago, please post ?
    Any mag appearances?
The only article we have is from a Sept.2000 BurnOut issue...

What do you want to know? We took it to Japan the year it was finished ('99?), but it has deteriorated quite a bit since...expected from being driven hard and rarely pampered! I've got a ton of 35mm snapshots, but nothing digital...wait, my photos did run in Custom Car back in 99-00. Kev, you reading this?

Thanks Mr. 40/A...I was hoping you would see this post...Been curious ever since that BurnOut article, and the recent Fritz and Moriarty threads made me go back and look it up again.....
I was just wondering if it ever got a fancy paint scheme and whatever show coverage came of it.

It's been through a couple tops and radiator hoses, but to the best of my twisted knowledge, it's always been Planetary Green flake. Other than the aforementioned Custom Car feature (with Marky's Purpleater), SR ran a quickie shot in the news section a few years ago.

You still looking for someone to write an "intro" for your book?

last pic I seen up it the top was cut to resemble a center bar (like a T top).. figured it must have been for driveability.(must have gotten hot under that top)

Yes, it is called the Brown Neck Bandito. Damn *****in car, especially in person. I first saw it when Anthony was leaving the LA Roadster show a few years back, and then again at Hootenanny. I think the back is on bags, because I saw him lift it up at the Roadster show. Now he cruises around in his sectioned '36 Ford roadster.

Anyway, the car is in Rolls and Pleats #3 Apr.,May,June 2001. There is a picture from the Anti-Blessing on page43, and then a *****in profile on the Shifter's Clubhouse starting on page 50.

The last time I saw the bubbletop, it was a little rough, but still INSANELY KOOL. And, who gives a **** if it was alil' rough, it gets DRIVEN. He's got style. Can you tell I like it? [IMG]

Had a shot but can't find it. Here you can sorta see it on the left with the T-Top cut bubble.

I would like to see the conversion ,if possible.....Coupe to roadster to bubble-top.....A driven "showcar" at that.

Surf Monkey.....GREAT shot! Anyone have a copy of that issue they wanna kiss goodbye?
Also, "Jubbly-Bubbly" sounds awful close to "Jumbly-Wumblies"....and isn't that a reference to ****S over there in some circles (not Morrissey's)?
    Nads? Insight?

Old way? Pizza oven like Roth did?
Fritz made his by heating Lexan, placing it over his groin, and watching "Satanic SoCal Rubber Nurses, Vol. 13"...

    Great shots!
Those stacks and headers make the pics from an earlier version?
Was it the T top that broke or an earlier round top?

  23. i remember doowopkid told me that he cut the top for a picticular reason... and it wasnt cause it cracked...

I think it looks 5 times better with the T top...

Never heard anything about the grill being an old Barris item, but I could be wrong. If anyone knows, I'd like to know the truth on that one... [IMG]
