Casting molds

  1. Again, why did you take this out? What did you put back in? Why? Hopefully you didn't take out the lead to replace it with bondo.

    what a killer idea dude! in foundry cl*** we always dried the molds out with a torch before a pour. the instructor showed us the dangers of moisture by putting a water balloon in a bucket and pouring molten lead onto it, talk about killing a good first period buzz! sand and 30wt is the combo i remember using. cool thing these days is the advantage of C.A.D. being able to see finished product on the computer screen.
     
  3. He won't answer my question. I think he must of removed all the lead to replace it with bondo. What a shame!
