Hey All, I registered a while back, have posted nothing and only lurked occasionally. I'm finally ready to step up to the plate and undergo some serious Caveman Training, with your help of course. I'm an old (55) fart who's been monkeying with cars and trucks since age 8 and have tried my hand at a semi restoration of a 68 Mustang, only to be frustrated by trying to find "correct" parts that are junk, don't fit right, etc. and I vow to never attempt this process on a potentially "pristine" piece again. I want to do things MY way and not be fearful of cutting, bending, drilling and hammering on something that could be faithfully restored. I've come to the conclusion that putting a vehicle back to "original" condition is not only difficult, but many times not nearly as good/useable/fun as can be done with thoughtful modifications. My user name is not meant to refer to a horses private parts so much as what comes out his hind end, and sometimes my mind. I look forward to picking folks brains on a wide variety of subjects and projects and sharing some knowledge and skills that I've gained over the years. Thanks, Gene (horseballz) Salvaterra
