I just stripped down a stuck 59ab that I picked up for cheap and found this interesting... Center main had bolts and lock washers. One shouldered bolt, one non shouldered. Engine had 40 over pistons, rods all have 8ba on them. Anyway, I'm not sure whether that center main cap is the correct one or not? I can't seem to locate any thing that ID's them. Thanks

If the mains aren't spun, it's the likely the right one. Feel the parting faces with the crank out.

^^^^^^^you can also use an inside mike to measure and compare the block main bearing
bores for diameter and roundness. That should reveal if the cap in question properly 'fits'
    the block.

Thanks guys, I got the crank out, looks great. I'm guessing that the center should be studs also? I haven't had a 59 apart, just 8ba. Weird deal, the bottom end and cam looks like a low mileage rebuild but the Pistons were Seriously! rusted in. So bad that 5 of them left the outer shell and rings stuck in the bore when I drove them out. I carefully! sawed through them and got it apart without screwing the bores up. Maybe it was laying upside down, I dunno. Lotta work, but no cracks visible yet!

BTW, I've had the cylinders full of acetone/ATF for about two months! This thing was stuck!
