when a vehicle is set up for speed only, and one seat wide, where does the shift lever go when the transmission is controlled by a floor shift?

    thanks

between your legs in a standard set up, anywhere that's convenient when drivetrain is located behind you

yeah. i could see that for an in'n'out box, but for a 1-4 it might get a little dicey

Way back when I used a vertical gate between my legs in my altered.
My latest build uses this auto trans mounted shifter.

RHS has been the "go to" in road racing for years

Even with a left side shifter [muncie , toploader etc] it is easy to engineer with a few heim joints and universal joints

If you're using a T5 , vulture a shifter off an Astro Van
With some creativity [re-drilling] this could also be reversed

In NZ, Aust, UK this would be OK because we shift with our left hand [RHD cars]
[and a Camaro bell to tilt the trans for clearance]
