You may know this, but I didn't until I received a photo from a friend in Louisville this week. Winters is making the axle tubes to fit the Champ housing with the adapter welded to the tapered housing. I don't know if they will fit the Halibrand but I'm sure someone will know.

Eliminates the extra plates/bolts required with the Halibrand adapters. I am not sure if they come in 11 and 12 bolts.

If I was gonna do a big quick change I'd rather have the adapters and some Ford housings. But that's just me. Wasn't QCE making some new adapters? I bet his stuff is a LOT cheaper than the Winters parts.

Sure would be nice if Winters would tell their dealers about these things.

    I like the look.

My guess is that they will physically bolt up to any 11 bolt center section. The 11 bolt Halibrand, CAE, ARC and Benson centers are 4 3/8" while Winters and most others are 3 3/4" This gives you a 5/8" difference to deal with internally. One has to know if standard differentials work or if they use a dedicated piece.

Not likely that they are available in 12 bolt design. Winters does not cater to hybrid rear ends. They keep plenty busy with their own products. Could they be modified to fit a 12 bolt? I would think so, but the bolts are on a different B.C. So, you would have to weld up the 11 bolt holes and redrill on the correct B.C. Then, just turn down the O.D. to match the 12 bolt case.

How about that rear cover? Pretty slick.

Will try to get info on Monday and post.

    Rocky,
How do you think I feel? I just placed an order for 40 repop adapter side plates.

That looks good poking out the back of your coupe, though.

I am thinking you will be alright as Winters normally requires all of the parts be Winters including the differential. He told me that once when I inquired about a differential. As you know, the differential is the hard part with the Halibrand if you don't use a spool. I see far more 12 bolt Halibrand cases than 11 bolt. I found a nice one this year at Pomona on Father's Day. I am anxious to see your plates.
