Champion heads on a Merc flathead?

Have any of you guys ever come across heads on a flathead V8 that were stamped "CHAMPION"?

I bought this car, a 51 Merc, last year and saw that instead of being stamped MERCURY, the heads are CHAMPION. They are cast iron, not aluminum.

So far, no one I've talked to have ever seen any. Here's a pic. Thanks from Florida.

 

Aftermarket, from the late 40's or early 50's pretty uncomon, but ive seen a few
