hey guys new here getting ideas for a 30 pickup build and was curious if a standard model a pickup bed was wide enough to channel stock width rails? Any pics of your pick ups?

  2. Use the search button. There are more pickup pictures on the site than...well, there are a lot.

I hope you're short, the trucks are small inside. You could drop the bow without cutting about 2" by removing the mounting blocks. The rear cross-member will stick up that same amount, going more you will have to cut the sub-rails and cross-members.

  5. My cab is channeled about 6". The bed is stock height and I dropped the cab down until the belt line met the bed rail. When I Z'd the frame I also extended the rails to the back of the bed so I do not need the wooden extension/spacer under the bed

The front and rear fenders are stock location.

@flt-blk that truck has the perfect stance! How is the room inside it when driving?

  7. I have over 50,000mi on it so it is comfortable for me, but I am only 5'6" and I built it around me. There are only a few others that can drive it and work the clutch.

I would not consider a chop, it is difficult to get in and out of already, and sometimes hard to see street lights (I usually just look at the color of the reflection on the Chrome Valave covers Red or Green). Besides I like the East Coast look.

  8. My 31 frame is swept 6" at the firewall and kicked up 12" at the cab back, chopped 5", I'm 5' 9" and this ride is comfortable/a little tight for me, 13,000 miles in 2-1/2 years, I wouldn't change a thing.
