It has been said that there is no such thing as a stupid question, but there are lots of inquisitive idiots and I am one. I know what a chop is, but what exactly is channeling? I realize that this is a stupid question to 99.999% of the HAMBers out there, but I fall into the small bracket of beginners. I'm used to bolting parts on, not cutting and welding.

On Prewar cars, the body sat on top of the frame.
To get a lower profile, early racers would cut the floor out,
and lower the body over the frame rails.

Notice how the bottom of the doors is lower than the top of the frame.

basically, your lowering the body OVER the frame a few inches,or raising the floor,,depending on how you look at it

new SKOOLers call it "body drop"
