Charioteers

Hi,
I am trying to find out about the charioteers car club out of henderson, nevada from the 1960's. Any information is helpful.

Good George on the follow up, I have my peeps in Hooterville see who is left . I knew some of those guys back in the "****shooter" -"Roadrunnys" days , My pal Cecil Fredi dubbed them the Cherrytears .They were a good bunch of guys and were on hand to help with Operations at the Thunderbird , Henderson drags which was a joint venture with the city rec. dept . Dalby Shirley was the director/manager. Most the dirtwork and paving were done by Joe Wells / Wells Cargo. He had a piece of the old T-bird hotel , hence the name. The "Grey Ghost" was sponsored by the "Sahara" and Van's used cars.

 

they are, or at least were an active club up into the 2000's

they had their 50th anniversary bash in 2004

My buddy is still a member. at 63 he is the youngest. To my knowledge they are still active.
