A bit windy and chilly, but still pushing on.

It would be great if someone would post some pictures taken that show the extent of the swap meet coverage. We stopped going after the prime swap meet space inside the track was usurped so that folks could enjoy a drifting experience.

Greenie - the Blue field is gone. Orange field is the same. Green looked good but I heard the red was thin. I'm pretty much space captive to sell my quality old greasy ford parts. Hoping for a good day tomorrow. They p***ed out cards today for the fall met. It will be held OUTSIDE the track in the green and maybe the red.

So by the Fall, the original bustling swap meet inside the track will be banished to the red mud and gravel of the back parking lots. I’ll save my travel $$$$ and spend more days at Carlisle.

They have effectively killed it. Sad.

7 miles for me to the Speedway. Thursday. Purchased a pair of PERFECT Eddie Meyer 8BA heads at a really fair price. I am still on cloud 9. Also got a great deal on an Edelbrock Super intake with 2 new 9SUPER7 carbs. Both sellers Iron Lords members. Friday. Purchased 2 bolt 59A front cover $20.00. Pair 39 Ford front hubs just for rolling display ch***is around $40.00. Worn out drums. Sold a pair Offy 59A heads. Wall hangers. $150.00. Lost a few dollars on that deal. Some years I almost filled my P U with parts I purchased.

So, all of the vendor action is now outside the Speedway? How is the attendance? I was told it was way off on the inside of the track. Apparently, the Roval took up most of the infield space.

As of this posting; it’s a ghost town in the Red field. Friday seems to be “the” day. Fairly steady traffic though, people were spending money. I was told by several that I was one of the small minority of HAMB friendly older stuff. The climate has changed for sure. I did well; covered the rent and “livations” so can’t complain.
