Hey Folks, our club the Iron Lords are having a party for all HAMBers. A thread titled "Attention HAMBers going to Goodguys in NC" has all the info. See you there.

 

Looking forward to meeting NC and surrounding area HAMBers! I just hate that I won't be able to make it in the '54..I think my girl might be coming to the show with me..she's never seen traditional/customs in person. I took her to the Charlotte AutoFair a few years ago but it was packed full of muscle cars and no rods.

Quick update too......
Shoulder surgery was a success, but the dr. said I had more damage than previously thought. Now I just have to get used to RIGHT shoulder isolation (by the way, I'm right-handed). Thanks to those that PMed me with encouragement. Can't wait 'til GG Charlotte.

Now we all need to pray for good weather, right now it says 40% Saturday.

 

I'll be there with the Belair, just listen for the herd of bumblebees goin down the backstretch! lol!

 

I might have a load of new shirts w/ me this weekend. If anyone is interested is a few PM w/ sizes/styles and I will be sure to put them back for you. Not 100% exactly sure where we are staying but we are in that cluster of hotels near the exit by Quaker Steak & Lube and such across the interstate from Concord Mills Mall. Hope see some of you guys on Friday or Saturday.

 

Alright I am officially stating that the HAMB Meet & Greet will be between 12-2 on Saturday. I will have the HAMB banner setup so look for it. If I can pinpoint a location of where we are going to be I will bump the thread again with the location. Anyone that is interested in going to breakfast on Saturday morning before the show PM me. That way most of us can park next to each other or at least roll in together.

 

Are people gonna be poping in and out for 2 hours or hanging out for 2 hours?

 

I assume popping in and out. Nothing real formal. If you want to meet some members then between 12-2 will be you best chance to do so instead of popping in and out all day. I'll probably walk around in the morning and then hang out near our spot the rest of the day shooting the shit.

 

We will probably check out this cruise-in on Saturday night after the show. It's in Concord. We go to GG Charlotte every year, but didn't realize there was a cruise-in there until a friend found it online. Sounds like a good time.

The weather up here is 40% rain Friday and 60% Saturday. Is it the same for Charlotte?

If so, will all who replied still show up? It's 4 hours from here to the speedway, and I want to make sure it'll still be worthwhile.

Well I was going to try but I just can't do both Charlotte and TurkeyRodRun so I'm choosing fun in the sun next month. One of these days I'll make it back to Charlotte. You boys have fun and take and post lots of photos please.

May I make a suggestion? The M&G really needs an exact time that way most will arrive around the designated time and those folks will have the best opportunity to meet and socialize with the most amount of people. Just my thoughts.

I will be there even if it rains at 2 p.m. with the banner so don't be afraid to show how comfortable you are with your sexuality and hug it out to keep warm.

Word to the wise if you do plan to attend bring your shit kicking boots because it can get a bit mucky out there in parts of the track.

Rain, rain, go away!

 

It rained last year also ...
Out of the last 4 or 5 times GoodGuys has been at Charlotte ... it has rained almost every time. I may just do the " walk thru the gate " deal on Saturday ... if the rains does not keep me away. National Weather is calling for 80% rain on Friday and 40% rain in the morning on Saturday. Sunday is dry. So I may just wait until about Saturday noon to show up

 

Me too now. I have to find a set of intake gaskets for my T roadster seeing how AUTO ZONE screwed me twice this week. No running car, but that's not unusual for me so I should still be there. Any idea where I can get a 65-67 intake gasket set around here tomorrow?

 

I'll call napa in the morning for you. They could probably have it by 1pm.
