What happened to the Hamb get together,,,I never found where it was going to be,,,no sign ,,,no banner,,,? HRP

 

The car next to yours with the blue flames belongs to Jr. McCarty. He is from my part of the country. Don't know him well, but he is a nice guy.

 

Sorry you missed it. We were not in the best spot, pit stall 43, but the sign was up. Many people came by and we all had a great time.

 

Man,,,I even stoped and walked around the yellow 57 chevy,,,but I never looked up on the fence,,,,

I was looking for a red tent I guess!HRP

 

Finally got there at noon Sunday...Brakes went out on shop "Trick Truck " sat. Fixed but too late to head out. Most of swap meet cleared out when I got there, BUT met the famous "Kirk" ! with camera in hand. Awesome rods still in attendance. Will deiffinatly go Fri.-Sat. next time...

Looked EVERYWHERE for a HAMB banner... never saw one.
Bummer this was my first time at anything like this, and I was looking forward to seeing a lot of you folks.
I was out on the pit road entrance,.. didn't ever see a tent there (maybe we are talking about two separate things) I kinda get the impression pit road entrance means where you come in off the track during the race. I guess thats the racers and race official coming out in me.
I also walked the route the cars took to get onto pit road and never saw anything that way either. Guess I missed the banner some how..?? I did see a couple car clubs set up along the car corral fence, one guy even tried to sell me a chicken salad sandwich, or a peanut ****er and banana sandwich. I was hungry at the time,.. should of took him up on it.
I was there from 10-5 on Friday. Bought about $1,700 worth of parts and stuff,... and back again on Saturday to see the cars from 8-5. I see that everyone had to move their cars off pit road and the track for the "ride around" by no later than 4:30. Did anyone take part in that..??

 

Yeah I was looking for the tent too on Saturday. I think I must have not been paying attention because I even sat on the wall near the pit entrance to take a load off. Other then not being able to finally meet a couple you guys I had a pretty good time.

 

I walked by the banner around 2:30 and there was nobody around.

HRP I did see your truck at the hotel. Looked awesome!

 

Made it Fri. and Sat. but headed home Sunday AM. Totally soggy on Fri., but Sat. turned out great. We hung out all day and came back for the ride around. What a blast!!!! Three laps just isn't enough! We'll be back next year for sure.

 

Glad to see the intrest in the meet and greet. We had just a few turn up in Richmond when we hosted that one. I was begining to think no one likes us.

We were kind of bummed about the location, but we were in the area we promised. Like druss32 said, no room for the tent.

 

no tent... I see the problem.. and from the pics on the other thread.. I see why no tent. Pretty tight confines there.
