I have a 54 210 chev. I am trying to locate a good stock chassis near me, but coming up dry. I know a 40-54 will work, but how much different is the 55? Ive located a few of these.

  2. The '54 Chevy was considered part of the second generation so the 54 -57 Chevy does share the same wheelbase of 115 inches,,,from there your on your own. HRP

The '40 to '48 is not the same as '49/'54, though they are similar, but have 116" wheelbase.
'49 thru '54 is pretty much the same, all being 115" wheelbase. The '51 up brakes are better and there are minor other differences, but any of those years should be useable.
The '55 is 115" wheelbase, but is otherwise a totally different chassis construction and front suspension.
