COE chassis drawings for a chev coe

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by tylerae40, Feb 19, 2010.

  1. hey guys
i'm looking for tech drawings with mesurments so i can construct my own ch***is and body mounts for the body i have.
I have a 50's aussie truck cab very similar to 50 chev coe- bodys made in the same factory. but there's no coe ch***is. I have spare normal (non coe) truck ch***is. so i'll have and build all the body and engine mounts for it. I've been told by others to just stick it onto a new truck ch***is but i'm in western australia and the lic rules make it very difficult. Over here, what your ch***is year is is what it's lic as, so as an example -if i put a 54 chev sedan onto a 90's caddy frame it'd be lic as a 90's caddy, so then all of the saftey rules for that year apply to it- basicly meaning you have to build a fluffy, bubble wrapped caddy with chev sheet metal . So as i cannot locate a coe ch***is and i don't want to do all the saftey implications of a new truck i'm planning to build off a stock 50's ch***is. anyways if you could point me towards some tech info it'd be great- the more detailed the better. cheers

  4. looking for the mesurments of the cab riser- length, width, the height of the bottom of the cab to the ch***is etc. I may end up working it all out myself, as it will need to be fabbed up, but having a plan is alot easier. any mesurments you can give would be great- cheers

  5. double post, sorry
