anybody ever use a chassis enginering front adj. crossmember ? like it ir not ?? sure would like to find a used or never used one ?? customer wanted to put a aftermarket straight or dropped axle ? any ideas what to use ??
I have installed 4 ,2 on 46-48 Chevys , a 37 Chevy, and a 38 Ford. They are terrific. The one I installed on my 47 Chevy convertible bolted on like the others, but the convertible frame has extra reinforcements where the strut rod brackets bolted to the frame. I had to adjust (shorten ) the reinforcements so they would bolt on. The adjustable feature was great and never had in alignment issues . I would use one again in a heartbeat.
I put 1 from them in my 40 Ford coupe Straight forward installment Drives & rides great I would do it again Nice set up
I have used several CE front X members and they all do the job. I am not sure about what you mean straight or dropped axle and adjustable. The adjustable units are for MII installations. They offer a dropped axle unit also for early Fords.
