Next I had Beth sit in the car to make sure all the foot peddles still fit her,, We changed the rod lenght on the clutch peddle to give her more leverage, I welded on side of the extention and put a set screw on the otherside to get the lenght right for her, then welded it all up, Bent the brake handle to give her leg alittle more room, Hey were getting close,, Tim Jones 102_0421.jpg 102_0435.jpg 102_0436.jpg 102_0437.jpg 102_0459.jpg 102_0458.jpg

Brake lines should never be higher then the wheel cylinders, always travel up from the master diretly to the brakes. Chances of getting an air bubble at the high point is possable, I guess if one had a power bleeder could flush the BF fast enough , but why not do it a better way

Was commenting on Tims setup with the master cyl lower than the wheel cyl and the lines being above them both

To clarefy, Brake line should never be higher than any 2 brake componants to allow air bubbles to escape the system weather back into the master cyl res. or out the brake bleeder

I'll rerun the lines over my weekend,,,, Tim Jones

Yeah Rocky ,AKA Wayne,:D, It's real close, Pretty excited, Don't worry it wasn't Beth, The gal got nailed pretty good ,Lots of lost blood, But the good thing is in captivity the komotos don't eat all the dead gargage they would eat in the wild so it's just another bad animal bite:eek:

Well I started this project in 2011 Finally got the see it spinning the tires on the stand, I redid the brake lines, put the trans together, and put Beth in the seat again, All worked good, Beth said the clutch and trans and brakes worked good, Tho her never sitting between a set of slicks freaked her alittle , But here's the newest video,

[[Well First off I can't load the video til tomorrow, Youtube doesn't like my satelite internet these days, We tested in on the stand again all worked good, so out she goes, Beth did a few very careful hits out in the grass in front of the barn, Went to back up and do a couple more and nothing, no forward no reverse, First thought it might be in the shifter so I tried rocking it in gear, no luck, so after another try we rolled it back into the barn,, Beth of course wanted to tear into it to find out the problem, looked at the clutch through the inspection cover all fine took the shifter plate off, all fine there, Then we took the cover off the drive line, Shit the coupler worked loose, I had thought a couple set screws would hold it in place, No such luck, should have used shaft collar lock rings to hold it in place, I'll get a couple from grainger tomorrow, And try it again, BTW instead of hand signals we used a set of radios wiith ear mics much easier,, here's some pics 102_0489.jpg 102_0493.jpg 102_0494.jpg 102_0495.jpg 102_0498.jpg 102_0499.jpg 102_0501.jpg ATTACH] [ATTACH[/=full]2925874[/ATTACH]ATTACH=full]2925873 ATTACH] ATTACH=full]2925872[/

DSC_2540.jpg DSC_2545.jpg DSC_2546.jpg Lucky it was a easy solved problem for you with the coupler. I got a advice to build a collar, to prevent same kind of issue you had. So it can't travel on splines :)

Shaft collars will only work if either the shaft is part of the trans output or seperate from both output and male coupler. the only way to make your arraingment work is to put a back stop/shim inside the female coupler to limit reward travel, either a wood or alu donut

Tim, school me on this please. I'm not sure what's moving, just my inquisitive mind. Sorry if it is a dumb question.
