Yes it is a good price, especially for a gl*** top.
However, I would opt for the car without an engine. His sign for the 260 says its a Tiger 260, but its a 2bbl, so its not a Tiger 260.
I guess all 260s are now Tigers just like all y-blocks are 312s. ;)

  3. All of the Tigers came with 2V carbs from the factory, even the later 289 versions. But a lot of owners immediately swapped carbs/intakes for a 4V; it was about a $250 upgrade in those days, with some dealers offering this. The Tiger 260 did have some differences compared to the OEM Ford offering however. Compression was raised to 9.3 to 1, and better valve springs were fitted to allow revving above 5K rpm. The HP rating remained the same as the 'regular' 260 at 164 though.

Ford did build about 100 true Hipo 260s with a rated output of 260 HP, but those were built exclusively for Shelby.

Well, I stand corrected. All Sunbeams that I competed against had 4bbl so they had apparently done the upgrade.
They also all had dual point distributors similar to the HP289, after taking a second look at the photo, I don't see a vacuum advance so it may be from a Tiger.
