Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by treb11, May 23, 2023.

  1. Well crap.
    Spent over $350 there today.
$70 seat covers, $35 fitted truck cover, $12 floor insulation, $25 die cut floor mat, plus a ton of interior and grommet/weather related junk.
    Darn you guys

Thanks for the heads up! Just picked up a radiator for $65 delivered, it’s 2 row but will work great for my old rocket motor.

I'm thinking Holley needs to put @treb11 on the payroll.

Just a observation, I ordered my headers from Amazon They shipped & UPS is telling me I get them between tomorrow & Tuesday.

My order to Holley was recognized with a thank you E-mail, not even processed or shipped yet ..... I feel like they got so overwhelmed with orders, Is going to take a bit to catch up.
I'm sure many H.A.M.B members contributed to a overload but also people from other sites.

While working through the 280 page catalog on Holley, I had a couple items removed from my cart before I placed order.

Meaning it was available when placed in my cart, by the time I placed my order they were sold out & removed from my cart.
They sold out of a lot of things .... first come first serve.

  8. Ordered Wednesday evening and most showed up today.

$68 seat cover thick vinyl, padded, piped and sewn. Too nice for my kids beater. IMG_1730.jpeg
Several items didn’t have a pic. This was listed as a longbed bolt kit. It’s stainless and much more than I thought would be there. I think this was $25.

I just got my set from Amazon. They are indeed chrome and nice chrome. Mine are center dumps. I would swap for the same thing in black or plain steel; you pay the shipping. I have to cut them to clear the steering box on my pickup and these seem too nice to cut.

My chromed rear dump headers came today and they seem like really nice quality for the price that was paid. I'm guessing the stuff that was dirt cheap on the website is being discontinued, which is a shame because it's a lot of good stuff. But at least I've got all I'll ever need.

Here's my header haul, about $160 total in all 3 sets, including shipping and tax. Check out this old original ad for Belond headers, looks like a nearly identical design to the center dump ones, and virtually the same price! God willing, I'll actually be able to use all of the headers I have now, but I've never had a problem with too much flathead speed stuff laying around. They can hang on the shop wall for decades if need be, they're never going to be that cheap again.

I only ordered the 1 set, actually very happy with the quality of it.
I then ordered a bunch of other crap .... A $3 taillight wiring harness for a 48 chebby that will not plug into my Dodge .... Just for the wire it was worth it..

What breaks my heart is knowing Holley bought these companies then now are discontinuing their product.
Sad to hear about all the Hot Rod parts that will no longer be available.

Yeah I'm glad I was able to buy my cheap parts while I can, just sad they will never be available to others gain.

Well not sure why but I bought a set of the flathead headers off Amazon even though I already have a set of Reds headers and I only got 1 flathead. Guess I couldn’t pass up the deal. Lol

  15. Just ordered another round of junk
Bought almost every small bit and piece they had for a 47-54 gm truck.
Had a transmission floor cover in my cart and someone nabbed it before I could finish the order.
Which one of you sneaky A -holes got it :):):)

I got the hemi headers from Holley. They look great (I'll try to fit them next week). (The box just says "331, 354, 392" with no mention of Dodge.) They were so nice that I just ordered a set of rear-exit stainless flathead headers.

After all, I do have one more spare good 8BA block.

So tempted to get a rear exit stainless set. Those smoothie Rocket wheels are tempting too.

Got my seatbelts today, $3.84 each, so I bought 8, I've got enough projects that can use red seat belts, and they're really period correct style too. I like seatbelts but modern ones are hideous. This was a great deal. Wish I would have known about these when I ordered the headers, could have combined shipping and gotten them even cheaper. Still a deal though.

I’m not sure since mine haven’t arrived yet. Maybe @Squablow could answer?

The packages all say Drake Automotive on them, I think on Holley's website they were branded as "Scott Drake" seatbelts. They feel like very nice quality to me.

@banjorear To narrow it, select interior on clearance category, Scott Drake on Brand, Click in stock and sort listing by least to greatest on price. They should start showing up on pages 2-3.

  26. Got another batch.
I was able to get most of the stuff I ordered but not all. Still did good.
    IMG_1874.jpeg
the bed cross sills were $5.84 each.
the turn signal switch was $14
    The heater switch was $11
    The horn relay was $3
And the sun visors were $16 each.
Plus several bolts, seals and doohickeys.

  27. I just wanted to say thank you for mentioning the headers, Amazon and Holley directly unfortunately were out of stock on the headers But I instead got some rear dump headers and I bought a ton of other small stuff on the Holley website directly that was stupid cheap.
To anyone that wants to look at what's been discounted to go on Holley's website where the search bar is just type in clearance and you will get a few options of 0 to 25% off 25 to 50% off 50 to 75% off and 75 to 100% off.
I am not showing off but this is what I just bought I would imagine the headers alone are realistically worth 350-400 bucks retail.
Now I just got to get another Flathead to put them on but they will look good on the shelf in the meantime.

  28. To add to my last comment Iposted a few hours ago.
I decided I needed more car debris so I bought another 80 bucks worth of stuff.
The dash tools are awesome. And 4 bucks a seat belt is a steal.
I have always used a screwdriver and a little hammer to remove the bezels around the knobs on the dashboard but it really beats up the bezels that first time you remove them after they have been on for 60+ years, for a few bucks shipped to the house I am willing to give the socket a try, You can never go wrong owning a new tool.
