    what is a good cheap rearend for a 39 ford truck project? thanks merle

    I used a 10 bolt chevy from a '83 camaro. Made a dual leaf setup. Rear axle has a good width without cutting anything. If this is the way you are headed. Good luck with it.

    Dodge 8.75, good lookin and cheap, but hard to find.

    Explorer 8.8" seem to be easy to find cheap and decent gear ratios.

    There is one on Dallas Craigslist right now for $100 complete.
