Thats a good idea, I'll have to check the farm places. I'll prolly just pick up some cheap radials or something for now. 14 inch radials are impossible to come by so I need to find some 15 inch wheels too now I guess.

  2. 14s are still pretty easy to get if you are not fussy. Sometimes you have to order them.

diamond back will probably have what you want/need. If radials are OK for you. Their prices are seasonable and they sell a quality tire. You may give them a try as well.

Yeah, I guess I'm fussy. 205/74/14's are the tallest I can find these days and they are only like 24" tall, which ****s for highway driving in low geared old cars. Thats why I wanted to go back to bias ply. Might try to get soem taller 15's for the back like 235's or something.

PMd ya back, what car are we talking about here?

And 215-75-14s do exist... 225s are obsolete.

I was looking at a Cooper 14 inch radial white wall (1 inch) At the local Sears store yesterday that was on the low end of their price scale but had a simple tread pattern and fairly smooth sidewall as far as the black part went.. I have no ideaa of what size it was though.

You can probably go to the local Firestone, Goodyear or other company tire store and still buy blems for cheaps. Most of the time it's discoloration in the whitewall or even in the blackwall at times. Don't buy the tires that are branded "for Ag use only not for highway use" that are sold in the south for cotton trailers though. They do have safety issues.

Bashing of a company that sells tires that are out of warranty and are used, slightly discolored, or blemished. not Coker persay but in a round about way.

the only thing I have heard bad about (real) Coker tires is the price.

  8. I agree. I can't see spending $250 for a tire with 1920's technology that rides like ****, follows every groove in the road, and is scary as hell in the rain. I've owned plenty of bias ply tires in my life, and I never liked them. Just my opinion, your results may vary.......

    See above.

The name itself BuyCheapTiresandWheels.com is your first warning which should get give you a subtle hint that this is one of those rare occasions where I should read the fine print

These are what I've been running but it would be nice to get something bigger than a 205 to help out my gearing a bit. They are great tires otherwise though.

I went to my local Firestone store and picked up some primewell brand blackwalls for 55 a piece in 205/70/14 and 225/70/14. Check your Goodyear and Firestone dealers, they have lower end brand names they can get for you.
