Cheap trany options for a y block?

I need a cheap transmission 4 my y block its in a 56 ford customline... any ideas.. thanks

I bought a 3 speed from a 67 mustang off Craigslist with a Hurst shifter and all the pedals and linkage from the car for 100.00 . It came off a 6cyl but I had picked up a bell housing off ebay for my 56 and a flywheel from a friend. Haven't tried to bolt it all together yet but don't see any reasons why it shouldn't The motor I am using is a 62 292 that we pulled the 2 speed auto off of. Planning on using as much of the linkage as we can too .
