    Yeah!

    You're in Florida!!!

You shoulda just stretched a BLUE TARP over it and called it good!!!

I can see two businesses have made a killing on the Hurricanes,,,,

    The entire roofing industry...

And the companies who make blue tarps!

    That's wrong.
Leave one side unsealed so moisture can get OUT.
Dryrot is worse when total sealing is atempted because moisture WILL leak in but will have a hard time getting out.

On all the big wood boats (work boats) they are using latex house paint... Built to be out side for 10 years, and never washed.

    Something to think about...

Drj, we're in Florida...not California...there is no such thing as dry rot down down here! :)
Besides...one of the basic premises of woodworking is if you do something to one side, do it to the other. Finishing one side and not the other will cause it to bow. It's not like metal. Trust me on that...I just replaced a 1 1/2' thich solid maple butcher block top for a customer (free of charge) because my finisher forgot to seal the underside of the top...

Mike...tell me what you need and I can get you some marine grade oak (or mahogany plywood at cost! ****, I can clear it and just call it a day!

That's what I did in my old 53 I sold last year.

I sheet of oak 3/4 plwood, and some oak baseboard trim.

My wife put 4 coats of the stuff they put on bars, on each side.

They underneath pic was after 3 months of driving.

I had maybe $75 in it.

    Heres a few pics
