I'm like Tingler was talking about. I go to he store with a shopping list with bolts and little trinkets and wind up dropping 100 bucks by the time I'm back home, and I don't even buy mini bike parts like he did. Money spent on just in fluids on a car build. 2 gallons of antifreeze- 12 12 quarts of ATF- 20 5 quarts of oil- 9 2 quarts of 90w rear end oil- 8 1 quart of brake fluid -3 That's over 50 bucks in just fluids. Throw in hose clamps, oil filter, thermostat, belts, hoses and all that **** and the money sure adds up, even if you do have all the big pieces to start with.
i built my sedan for around 2k. not including labor. my time is free. i had almost all the parts to do it. bought little stuff, tires, trans adapter, steel. i wish i could do it again, but i know next time it will cost more. trey
