  2. Hope dad doesn,t get upset that everyone here will want you to change those rims for something older. With a light colour car like that I,d like to see Torque Thrusters on it.....

...or body colored steelies with blackwall tires, maybe pie crust slicks in back  ...and possibly a set of '57 hub caps.

Cool car! I've always liked the '57 Customs!

    My thoughts exactly.

And much better to have to pay your dad for the car than to lose your dad and get the car for free. All inheritances come with a price.

Nice Car! I had a 57 custom in 1971, had a 58 hood punched full of louvers, chrome wheels front+rear, pie crust cheater slicks in rear. severe rake due to long spring shackles in rear. 292 y block with 3 spd. on the floor with reversed shift pattern. loud glasspacks, Damn, I miss that car!

Bitch'n hot rod. Not that the other suggestions are out of line, but I think it looks fine with the current wheels..... sort of racy.

Thanks for all the replies the car has always had cragar s/s on it i had to put those on to move it the tires were completely dead they would not hold any air probably should have taken those pics....I like the torque thrust d idea for sure or put the cragar's back on it not sure yet.

  15. My vote would be for the Cragars... you've already got 'em

That's areally nice machine, just a wheel and tire change away from perfect.

I love '57 Fords, I have a '57 Ranch Wagon on the road and a '57 Custom two door sedan project with a straight axle and an altered wheel base.

I hope to see you and your new machine around town. Hell, bring it out to the Rattlers' (my car club) show at the George and Dragon on Sat. 12/20.

The Ford looks great - but I have to agree with the steelies and poverty caps.

Could you also post some more pictures of the Fleetline? That thing looks tough set up as a gasser.

  22. Hey, Wizzard I've been orphaned for a number of years so no one would mind if you adopted me. Let me know when you want me to take possession of my inheritance, dear old Dad.

    Hi Dad,
I am doing fine here in Southside Virginia and love 57 Fords. Please let me know if you need more info, so you can leave me those 57s:)

I know I'm weird (my hotrod is a '48 DeSoto ), but I have always thought the 57 Fords and Plymouths are way better looking than the 57 Chevy.
Maybe you already knew this little triva, but the Ford outsold the Chevy in 1957.
