that was so incredibly awesome, and not only that, but for some reason I could never download quicktime onto my work computer, until i used that link you gave us. You sir, are the man.
Maaaaan I hada go cook some hotdawgs. The only thing missin is TV Tommy and my ol' man. Wish I could figure out how to snag that file.
Unbelievable. It is so hard to find good early footage, and it looks like you have a surplus. Thanks very much for sharing. Please check your PMs. Danny
That stuff is so cool, too bad we can't go back, guess that's why we're here. When I was watching, I got all light headed and my arms were tingling! Maybe because I viewed it at 3 in the morning! Think I'll watch it again. Good Job!
Hey thanks for the positive feedback. If you want to link to it feel free. For those that want to try and download it go ahead, you should be able to by right clicking on the link and then select "save link as.." and make sure that you save it as "source" not "text". That should work. For those on a Mac click and hold on the link, then when the window pops up do the same. Somebody asked and yes, I edited it in Final Cut Pro, I love that program. The guy I got this from told at the time that he had like 6 or 8 more hours of footage, **** if I had that my wife would never see me. I'll try to get the programs edited and when that happens I'll approch the guy with an offer and see what he says. Let me know if you got any other questions.
[ QUOTE ] Can I design the packaging for your DVD? [/ QUOTE ] You certainly can if and when I get that far!
[ QUOTE ] what album was the music off of? [/ QUOTE ] The song is Hot Rod Honeymoon by Jeff Beck and I believe that the album is called "Jeff". I downloaded for .99 cents from iTunes.
Great footage! May I ask how you convert 8mm to digital format? I have some reels of my own I would like to convert. -The Catholic

I didn't convert this so I don't know how they did it, but the cheap and dirty way is the project the film onto a screen and then frame your camera and shoot. You can buy some cheaper reflectice devices that you project into on to a mirror, I had one a long time ago.

Dude..!! That was AWESOME..!!!! I'd buy a DVD set as well... can't wait for more..!! Later, Snacks....
Wow, that was great! Thanks for sharing that with us. If you get serious with the rest of the footage, I bet you have a guaranteed sell-out, at least here on the HAMB
I started talking to a few people on how to handle getting to use this footage without being sued. I also started talking with my friend in our car club and he can get me sit downs with Doc Holiday, possibly Tommy Ivo and Bill Schifsky to get started with some interviews for the videos, I'm going over to his house next week to start talking this thing through. Is there a lawyer on the HAMB that could answer the legal question on the footage? My friend says he didn't think there would be a problem with doing this, but others think there could. This thing has been swirling around in my head for over a year now, hopefully I can find a way to use this footage without being sued. We'll see what happens.
