i still need to get carpet in it,, other than the repainting of dash its all the same as it was before(63 impala SS buckets and console with all white roll& pleats..)
Looks great Sammy, and I agree with different rims and tires and a little ride height adjustment you can go from stock, to lowrider to custom whenever you get bored. Gus
I like the paint but I think if you're going to throw the 13's on there you gotta bring it... It's just missing something with those wheels... Kinda like it's stuck halfway between restro rod and full ranfla... Actually, 13" wires do scream Aztec warrier mural and metal flake... Oh.. And about an 8" chain steering wheel. Did you ever throw them on there with the old paint? I wonder how that would have looked? Not trying to dis, just curious...
I just scrolled back up and I don't want to sound negative... It ain't missing much. It's just something small that I can't put my finger on exactly... Some little detail... But you'll probably develop it some over time. Sweet ride HOLMZ...
before i got the supremes i did throw a set on i had laying around just for fun,,,the two different eras didnt go well(at least at the time i thought so)
yeah,,i know what your saying,, i am undecided on quater panel script emblems, but i think it needs them to break up the white.. its been a job just to get it to this point so far ,,and i am broke again,,,hahaha
A glass house Impala with a nekkid Zena warrior princess lookin' chick riding a dragon airbrushed on the trunk kinda became the stereotype for lowriders, but this (see pic) is what I tend to think of when I think "lowrider", I'd like my '46 to look alot like this one. I wonder what the '56 would look like with scuff guards and fender skirts on it?
NICE,, squablow,,you asked me earlier about building a BOMB,,i actually started to build a 48 fleetline about a year and half ago,,but at the time didnt have the time ,space or money to devote to it ,so i ended up selling it... i really regret selling it now. i have ONE fender skirt laying around,,i am leaning towards the rockers and scuff guards and dual antennas,,,
I don't know how I got hooked on the lowrider bomb look, but I really like what they do to those cars. I've been reading Chevybombs.com alot lately, I love the look of these cars all decked out and ultra clean. My Chrysler is going to get some details reworked on it to look more "lowrider" and I'm slowly collecting the pieces to make my '46 Chevy a real lowrider. Dual antennas would look good on your '56 no matter what kind of wheels or trim you decide to run on it. My '55 Dodge got some custom moulded ones and my '64 Olds is getting duals as soon as the valve seals are done. I think all 50's and early 60's cars need dual antennas. Any idea where some cool looking antennas can be found, with some teardrop style bases? I had to make some for my Dodge, seems like no one sells them anymore. I know they make repop Impala ones but damn, them's expensive.
I'm not much of a wires kinda guy but I love it. I also love the fact that you can swap wheels when the mood strikes or depending on what show you are attending. Congrats on the reborn ride. Mootz
lowrider fellers.. they make me look bad. Those mofo's know how to detail a fuckin car! I love those 40's chevy style bombs. Awesome rides. They always keep the 216's in em too.
I can see Story & King from where I am sitting in my house in the East Hills (the original EASTSIDE). Honk when you get there. ~B
Tip that forty for the homies! I like it, it must appeal to the mexican in me. Is that bitch bagged? You didn't put real hydros... I love to watch them, but man do they fuck up a car.
Why do I always see lowriders with the ass dragging? Slight (very slight) forward rake looks better IMO.
not diggin the wires, but otherwise, this is a really clean car!!! love the paint, interior, and the dual masts will look killer!!! thanks for sharing.
Ghetto? What do wires have to do with the ghetto?....hhmmm Oh well, some people are raedy for it and some people have no business even messing with it......but you hit it on the nail.......Come cruise Whittier Blvd. in the Original East Side (oh wait that was said already... ooops, my Bad) hahaha Nice Ride Man!
