I'm less than 3 months old on the HAMB but have been in the Hot Rod and Race parts business for over 40 years. I have not been on the board but have met so many cool guys with cool project on the classifieds. Not doing any cars now but still traveling to the Midwest shows and swap meets looking for stuff. I've had set ups at all the best swaps in the US From Pomona to Hershey for 20+ years and been an event promoter. Maybe if you're thinking about going to one or promoting one I could give you my opinion (maybe not the gospel) but my opinion. Right now I've been taking photos of the cars and people at the events I go to and keep them on my Dale Wilch Fan Page on FaceBook. Let me know what you're thinking.
Absolutely, if you remember right I was the good looking guy in the Yellow truck. That's always a good event. I've had some heart hicups and can't chase the Interstates like I used to. This ol Internet has made my life much easier, still keeping in touch this way.
Are you the same Dale Wilch that I traded a '57 Chevy for your '63 Belair back in '67? We were in the Navy stationed in Rhode Island.
Oh my gosh. Isn't this amazing? I'm sorry but I remember your face but not your name. Yes, in fact I pulled the Rochester FI off and traded the hardtop off a few months after I got back to Kansas City. I don't know about you but I wasn't smart enough to keep cars or parts around very long and kept selling and trading. That 57 Silver hardtop actually went to Dallas 35 years ago when the fellow moved away. I used to see that guy at the Pate and Arlington swap meets and always talk about that 57. He didn't want the FI so I put a stock 4 barrel on the car before the trade. You were definitely into cars then and must still have the habit. Where's Porter Texas? I guess I can check on what you're up to with this HAMB. I'm so busy I don't spend too much time here but will gradually get on here and see what's happening. Keep in touch
Dont let Dale fool you, He cut his teeth on a hemi and 32 axle. Later put them together. Know Dale fairly well and have comparerd our bypass zippers at midwest events. Good man always good to see and talk to. Cal
Dale this is Steve (Lippy) in Rush Center. Hey do you happen to have an old Pontiac comp blower manifold? Am looking for one for a re-created Cackle car. Lippy 785-650-9415
Hey Steve, boy are you getting picky in your old age. Just none out there that I can find. I did just sell an old M/T but it was for the old heads. You keep checking the classifieds here 'cause if I found one to sell, this is where I'd sell it. Thanks for the contact. And great to hear from you. Dale
