Hi folks, I have apparently made a mistake (I got yelled at in all caps) by asking the wrong question over on the main board. I am having a problem with the oil in the gearbox of the Whipple on my truck. For some reason the oil in the gearbox keeps going bad on me and I was hoping someone with another supercharger or any gearbox experience would help. I mean we're all a gearhead brotherhood, right? Anyway, they say that the Whipple question is not allowed because that brand was not pre '65 ( a blower gearbox is a blower gearbox to me). One member has checked my profile and says none of my vehicles meet the HAMB standards. That would include the '55. That's the real rub for me.
SO, before I'm booted for talking back over there, I'd like to thank Jeff for inviting me over years ago and also everyone that has offered help on the project. I had hoped to do a little overview when I got it finished but we'll have to see if I'm still here.
Here is the link to that question.

How does it go bad, or is it breaking down? Just doing a search brings up lots of information.

While this group, (52-59 Ford Social Group), may sound like it's exclusive because by nature it is a private group of fellas on a larger, more public forum, you will not find a better group of fellas to deal with. Jeff leads that pack and he has been tremendous IMO. I too, have OT or "outside the bounds" of the HAMB requirements for accessories or other items I have placed on my car. If these kool-aid sheriffs were honest they would admit that at the very least they have modern wiring with modern fuses in their vehicle, made by companies like Painless, Rebelwire, etc. There is a good group of guys all on the HAMB for sure so don't let a few sour pusses ruin it for you. The fellas on here are some of the best of the HAMB.

Now, as far as how much we know about Whipple superchargers... that remains to be seen. :)

Some of the issue you are facing with other people is another reason why I created my own website - check it out at hotrodreverend.com.
