Anybody have any experience with Parker County Performance (PCP) of Azle, TX? I'm thinking of having them do some fab work on my '46 Ford Coupe. Thanks for any comments, positive or negative.
what parts do you need we got lots of stuff, i will check our records in the morning, try www.emsautomotive.com and click on 41-48 ford
Yes, I did an intro a few weeks ago. I decided to change my p***word yesterday when I saw the same combo used as a handle on another forum. How is the best way to find out if they are HAMBers? Is a search of the Alliance the best thing to do?
I've lived here in Parker county for a long, long time. This is a small place. Never heard of them or seen any of their work that I know of. Beware.
Now now just because you ain't ever heerd of 'em doesn't mean they just moved in from Houston or San Antonio or El Paso or Dallas or Ft. Worth after bein' run out of town, does it? Seriously, caution must be advised if the company is very new and their referal list is very short and out of town. We've had our share in the Houston area, believe me.
So do another damn intro then so we know who you are now and who you were then. About 10 shops between Blanco and Azle to go to. No on has heard of the shop. Call him and get references from him and others. Website doesn't show a lot of fab work. And he is not listed as an Alliance member. But then a lot of top line fab people aren't
Please excuse my ignorance of how the board works. It is the first board I have found interesting enough to join so I am not at all familiar with how any of them work. I will gladly do an intro. I am about to be 66 next month and am a Texan by birth and now, thank goodness back in Texas for the last three years since retiring from an electric utility in Florida where I worked as an energy engineer/****yst for twenty years. I have raced stock cars briefly, but mostly, I have raced sports cars. For the last 12 years, it was vintage sports cars. So, most of my experience is with 4-cylinder engines, independent front and leaf-sprung, live axle rear cars. The vintage club I belonged to races mostly above Dallas or over by Houston and that became just too much h***le to make their three-day events, especially with my wife still working. So, two months ago, I sold my racecar and bought a 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe. Other than a mild interior upgrade and the Cragar SS wheels, it looks very traditional as Henry made it. It has the original flathead pumped up to 276 c.i., with Offy heads and headers with dual exhaust. It also has disc brakes in front and a S-10, T=5 manual transmission. Suspension is by transverse buggy springs on both ends, but I hope to make some improvements there as handling is a far cry from the sports cars I used to race. However, I would like to drive the car "as is" for awhile to gather information and research the best setup to achieve our goals for the car. I hope that my wife (who luckily is a big car nut) and I can cruise the Texas Hill Country and attend local and regional shows and other related events. My interest started turning to street rods after attending a Good Guys event in Tampa about four years ago. Thank you for the opportunity to share in the hobby with you. J. Roger Beasley Blanco, TX
