Here’s pictures of the split manifolds I made for my Chevrolet 216 & 235 engines. tried to copy how the corvette manifolds look.. guess it’s my poor man’s answer to the 1400$ price tag on those corvette manifolds if your lucky enough to find one

Looks good. How about some details on how you did it?

Looks like a cast iron plumbing elbow with a flange welded/brazed to it. Do you put a divider between the two outlets?

Looks exactly like the one my best bud in high school Michael D. Jones put on his Chevy and then a week later I helped him pull back off when he got the fix it ticket for loud pipes. That split manifold and dual burned out gl*** packs were probably on ten local cars and I think I may have ended up with them on a 50 chevy Hardtop that I bought from Ray Riojas. That is one car I wish I had stuck behind the barn for later. The pipes on that were sweet but loud. 50 Chev hardtop.jpg

Sweet ride! I love hardtop Chevys.. , I can’t believe they would ticket you guys back in the day for loud pipes , ooohhh how times have changed. I’m running one straight pipe and one 9” gl*** pack on the split

Thanks ! I appreciate the feedback . These both got a ceramic coating. I think it’s called cerakote? , I know they use that type of coating on gun barrels

What is the purpose of the small hole in the center of the block off plate?

  12. A spit manifold I built a few year ago…

…I also have a 1954 Corvette manifold, it was on a 235 with the Sharp intake!

I give the man what he was asking there is a time to haggle and there is a time to keep your mouth shut and know you are getting a deal of a lime time!

I don’t know what I am going to do with the Sharp intake/Corvette exhaust but it will involve a 261 Chevy!
